Timesaving Tips

Cooking a delicious, wholesome meal for the family can be enjoyable – until it comes time to clean. Here are some timesaving tips and tricks to keep your kitchen tidy and make the after-dinner cleanup a breeze.

Slow Cooker Liners: Slow cookers are great for making flavor-packed meals with minimal effort. To help take the mess out of slow cooking, place a slow cooker liner in the slow cooker bowl before adding the ingredients. When your meal is ready, remove the liner and wipe out the leftover moisture – no soaking or scrubbing necessary!

One-Pan Meals: Cut back on dishes with one-pan dinners that allow you to savor every bite of your flavorful meal without stressing over dish duty. One-pan dinners offer endless flavor combinations as well as a speedy cleanup!

Keep the Trash Can Nearby: Instead of going back and forth to and from the trash, place the garbage can near you as you prep. Not only does it save time, but it also keeps you from having to open and close cupboards or drawers multiple times with dirty hands.

Reuse Bowls & Pans: Rinse measuring spoons, cups, mixing bowls and pans as you go and reuse them instead of reaching for new ones. If you’re slicing veggies and meat, chop the veggies first, so you only have to wash your knife and cutting board once.

Clean As You Go: Take simple steps to clean as you prep your meal by using your downtime effectively. Put ingredients away as soon as you’ve finished using them and let utensils and cookware soak as you work on another part of the meal. Cleaning as you go can be a huge help and offer you more relief by the time your meal is ready.
